Recall the impressive Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato that premiered in August? It was dubbed Opera Unica, and it took 370 hours to finalize its incredibly detailed paintwork. That’s tantamount to toiling for 15 consecutive days. Adorning the Huracán’s larger sibling in a comparable ensemble took a bit more time. Meet the Lamborghini Revuelto Opera Unica.
Unveiled on Wednesday at Art Basel Miami Beach 2023, Lamborghini states that the elaborate exterior demanded 435 hours to complete. That’s precisely 18 days. The personalized interior tacked on an additional 220 hours to the endeavor. It isn’t a replica of the Huracán Sterrato Opera Unica either. This one integrates shades of purple and black – particularly, Viola Pasifae and Nero Helene – amidst lines of red, blue, and various other tones.
Entering the vehicle, you’ll discover a dual-shade leather interior featuring additional shades of violet and ebony – in this case, Viola Acutus and Nero Ade – embodying a comparable concept with hints of warm and cool hues interspersed. The headliner, door inserts, and headrests showcase 60th-anniversary emblems meticulously sewn in. Lamborghini underscores the intricacy of this endeavor by specifically highlighting the vibrant brushstrokes on the start/stop cover.
“Our aim was to craft something inherently artistic using brushes and an array of hues, almost as if the Revuelto were an artist’s canvas,” expressed Lamborghini’s Design Director Mitja Borkert. “That sentiment propelled our creativity for this unique design. Through the dynamically hand-painted exterior, we accentuate the car’s aerodynamics and velocity.”
Some argue that the Revuelto doesn’t require excessive attention. Its sharp physique boasts more contours than a questionable gossip magazine, and the styling appears as though it was brought directly from the 31st century. If the aesthetics aren’t adequate, there’s a roaring 6.5-liter V12 positioned behind the driver for added effect. Combined with three electric motors, the Revuelto concocts a total of 1,001 horsepower. Lamborghini claims it’s sufficient for the high-performance car to achieve 60 mph in an estimated 2.6 seconds, cruising to a top speed of 217 mph.
We suspect this specific instance will likely never experience such speeds. Nevertheless, it will be observed, as it graces the Art Basel exhibit, contributing to Lamborghini’s 60th-anniversary celebration before being handed over to its new owner. Indeed, Lamborghini parted with this unique creation, selling it to a considerably affluent collector for more than $1 million.
