Ford F-150 Heritage Edition Celebrates 75 Years Of F-Series Trucks

The Blue Oval introduced the F-Series for the consumers a long time back. It was the year 1948 when the first F-series truck debuted, so it is about 75 years and time to celebrate this landmark. To commemorate the truck’s 75 years of existence, the automaker has introduced the F-150 Heritage Edition.

The special edition is built on the F-150 XLT model but of course, gets some retro design cues to remind us of the models between the 1970s and 1980s. For further distinction, Ford offers the Heritage Edition in two-tone paints where the roof, pillars, bumpers, lower door, and lower section have one shade and the mid-area of the truck gets another tone.

Ford offers five colour combinations for the buyers, including:

  • Race Red midsection, with upper and lower Carbonized Gray;

  • Atlas Blue midsection, with upper and lower Agate Black;

  • Antimatter Blue midsection, with upper and lower Carbonized Gray;

  • Avalanche midsection, with upper and lower Agate Black;

  • Area 51 midsection, with upper and lower Agate Black.

While not much is changed on the outside, the interior gives a feel of the past. Ford started the changes from the seat trim and finished the cabin in slate grey and black. The central armrest boasts a cross-trimmed emblem to signify that the F-150 is not just a regular XLT. We can also see the Easter egg as the American carmaker uses a white “75 Years” badge in the higher center area of the windshield. You can also see it in the infotainment display when you ignite the engine.

The order books for the 2023 F-150 Heritage Edition will open in the mid of next month, and that’s the time when we will know about the pricing. It would definitely be a little higher than the normal XLT, which goes for $38,515, excluding the destination fee.

As we are eagerly waiting to see the Heritage Edition in action, we are also anticipating the Raptor R. Rumors say it will use a supercharged 5.2-litre V8, borrowed from the Mustang Shelby GT500. One can easily guess how mind-boggling performance it would deliver.

If you are someone waiting for the new Super Duty truck, you should be happy to know that it is also under work. Motor1 recently shared a piece of news where they showed the truck in Lariat trim. While we are not sure when it will hit the roads, we would love to see it anytime next year.
