The 2019 Toyota Yaris sedan will replace the Yaris iA in the worldwide markets. The sedan has had minor changes in its design including a new front grille, chrome highlights, and resembles the Mazda2 a lot. The Yaris sedan will be sold in 3 variants contrary to the iA which only had 1.

The freshly introduced XLE variant has leather front seats, steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake along with bold LED headlights, precipitation sensing wipers, climate control and more. The XLE and LE versions have a spoiler and 16-inch alloy rims. Standard on all trims including the basic Yaris L is a push start button, 7-inch infotainment system, cruise control, and more.

Powering the sedan is a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 106 hp and 103 lb-ft of torque. An automatic 6-speed and a manual 6-speed transmission will be offered. Toyota claims the Yaris sedan has a fuel economy of 30 mpg in the city, 39 mpg on the highway for the manual while the automatic will have 32 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.

The 2019 Toyota Yaris sedan goes on sale this fall. The pricing for the car has not been announced but reports suggest it should be marginally different from the outgoing Yaris iA which was offered at $15,950 for manual and $17,050 for automatic.

The 2018 Yaris sedan starts at AED 53,900 here.
