Hennessey Maximum Jeep Gladiator was first revealed in May last year and now the tuner has started its production. The company posted a video of this 1,000 hp Jeep Gladiator, where we can see it flying in the sand.
“There’s nothing like jumping a 1000-hp Jeep over sand dunes,” stated John Hennessey after driving it. “Maximus 1000 is a very special vehicle under any driving conditions, on- or off-road.”
Hennessey made a number of changes including swapping the Gladiator’s engine with the supercharged 6.2L Hellcat V8 and giving it HPE1000 upgrade along with changes in the ECU, wiring harness, radiator, and fuel system. The transmission is the same eight-speed automatic.
To make it a more capable machine off the road, the tuner lifted its suspension by six inches and installed 20-inch wheels and BF Goodrich KD off-road tires.
The visual upgrades include custom bumpers at both the front and the rear and a light bar in the center. Inside, the Hennessey Maximus Jeep Gladiator has leather upholstery with “Maximus” engraved on the seats.
Hennessey is going to develop only 24 examples of the truck each wearing a price tag of $225,000. The buyers will get a three-year or 36,000-mile warranty, as well.
