The 2022 Hyundai Tucson is not only bigger and more stylish but is also more expensive than before. The company has increased the base price by $1250, taking the total to $26,135 for the entry-level SE and a whopping over $38,000 for the hybrid model. A plug-in hybrid is also expected later on.
All non-hybrid models feature a 2.5-liter inline-four generating 187 horsepower and mating to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The optional AWD costs $1400 extra.
The other models in the lineup cost $27,685 for SEL, $31,785 for N-Line, and $35,885 for the Limited. The Tucson N-Line comes with merely cosmetic changes, meaning no performance upgrades are available.
On the other hand, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson hybrid has a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four gasoline mill assisted by an electric motor, sending power to all the wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. Its price starts at $30,235 for the entry-level Blue, $32,835 for SEL and $38,535 for the Limited. EPA fuel-economy figures aren’t revealed yet. We believe it will be about 36mpg combined.
For the U.S., Hyundai is building the new Tucson in Alabama. It will start arriving at the dealerships soon. For the UAE, we are still waiting for the arrival of the new Tucson.
