2024 Lexus IS Gets A Price Update, New Design Features

The Lexus IS reaches its tenth year on the US market in its current form, maintaining consistency since 2014, and while there are noticeable visual improvements, the 2024 model year retains most of its core features. Price tags, however, have risen across the lineup.

The updates from Lexus are relatively subtle. The base IS 300 now offers an F Sport Design option, featuring 19-inch wheels and special badges for an enhanced exterior appearance. The IS 300 F Sport, in addition to these visual enhancements, incorporates heated and ventilated front seats, aluminum pedals, and a heated F Sport steering wheel. The powertrain options remain unchanged, with the IS 300 available in a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder for the RWD variant or a 3.5-liter V6 for the AWD version.

Opt for the IS 350 for an upgraded V6 engine, packing 311 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, a boost from the IS 300’s 260 hp and 236 lb-ft. In 2024, the enhanced model introduces a Blackout Package as an alternative for the IS 350 F Sport, featuring matte black BBS 19-inch wheels, darkened exterior mirrors, stylish dark chrome window trim, and a driver’s seat, side mirrors, and steering wheel memory package. 

The 2024 IS series maintains its top-tier position with the IS 500, featuring a 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 472 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. This new model year introduces standard black side mirrors and offers the optional Incognito paint color. For the IS 500 F Sport Performance Premium, a Special Appearance Package is available, enhancing the sedan’s appearance with Blue Vector paint, 19-inch forged alloy wheels, and blue stitching in the interior. Lexus plans to produce a limited run of only 150 units for the US market.

Regarding pricing, the 2024 IS models are pricier than their 2023 counterparts. The base model now starts at $41,235, including destination and handling fees, compared to $40,585 last year. The IS 350 F Sport Design begins at $44,410, marking a $750 increase from the 2023 model. Lastly, the 2024 IS 500 F Sport Premium is priced at a minimum of $64,520, up from $62,770 in 2023.
