After almost a year of its US unveiling, the new 2022 Kia K5 is here costing at least $23,690 (excluding destination fee) for the entry-level LX FWD. The top-of-the-line GT FWD starts at $31,090. There are a few upgrades across the range as well as a new equipment package.

The most prominent change on the exterior is Kia’s new badging. You can find it on the hood above the radiator grille. Considering the variant, the new 2022 Kia K5 comes with a surround-view monitor, extra wireless chargers, and a standard navigation system for the GT-Line, EX, and GT models.

The most significant addition to the range is definitely the GT-Line AWD Premium package. It includes a panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, LED projection headlights, and new driver assistance facilities over the GT-Line AWD’s features.

No changes in the power department as the 2022 Kia K5 carries over the powertrain from 2021. All mills are turbo with an optional all-wheel-drive system. The 1.6-litre turbo offers 180 horsepower (134 kilowatts) and 195 pound-feet (264 newton-meters), while the 2.5-litre turbo pumps out 290 hp (216 kW) and 311 lb-ft (422 Nm). Both the mills pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission
