Ram will auction off the first example of the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction in Arizona on Friday, March 26. The money that comes from this sale will go to United Way for Southeastern Michigan’s 2-1-1 helpline offering services to old-timers and their families. Those interested in making a bid can do it on the phone or at Barrett-Jackson’s website.
The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX VIN#001 wears Anvil Gray color. The automaker only plans to produce 702 units of the Launch Edition, complementing the off-road pickup truck’s ponies. Interestingly, the company has sold out all these examples already.
The VIN#001 comes with some special features including a RamBar, rock rails, and a bed-mounted spare tire carrier as well as the TRX’s Level 2 equipment package. The package adds carbon-fiber interior trim, a Harman/Kardon sound system, and bead-lock-capable wheels for this specific model.
Under the bonnet, it gets a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 pumping out a monstrous 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, pairing with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The super truck is speedy; it can hit 60 mph in only 3.7 seconds and hit a quarter-mile in 12.3 seconds. You can say it is the most powerful production pickup truck available right now.
We will be able to see the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX VIN #001 Launch Edition at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale from March 20 to 27.
