Porsche revealed the 2021 Panamera in August along with a new Turbo S variant featuring a powerful twin-turbo 4.0L generating 620 horsepower (462 kilowatts). Just within two months of time, the automaker introduced the most powerful variant in the lineup, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid pumping out 689 hp (513 kW).
The 2021 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid features a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 yielding 563 hp (418 kW), and an electric motor creating 134-hp (99-kW). The power goes to the wheels via an eight-speed PDK transmission.
Besides, the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is here, powered by a twin-turbo 2.9L V6 creating 455-hp (339-kW). Both hybrid variants come equipped with a 17.9-kilowatt-hour battery.
Similar to the Panamera versions, the Turbo S E-Hybrid will come in sedan, Executive (extended wheelbase), and Sport Turismo (wagon) body style. The sedan and Sport Turismo will be able to zoom from zero to 96 kilometers per hour in only 3.0 seconds. The top speed is limited to 315 km/h.
Although the Turbo S E-Hybrid looks similar to the standard Panamera versions, the electrified variants differ with twin C-shaped Turbo front light covers combined with bigger side air intakes. There are two new shades and three new wheels options.
The 2021 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid will hit the roads alongside the updated Panamera. The pricing details will be revealed closer to the launch. For reference, the 2020 Panamera starts at around AED 422,000.
