The Japanese automaker Mitsubishi has introduced the revamped 2021 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross with evident design changes.
Although the design updates aren’t profound on the front, the crossover still looks very impressive with the blacked-out grille and the new front bumper guard. The rear gets a better appearance and enhanced visibility owing to the reformed rear window, tailgate, and taillights.
The interior gets minor updates; the Eclipse Cross offers new black and silver trims, the changed layout of the new 8-inch smartphone-link display audio (SDA) system, and the physical volume and tuning knobs.
The power comes from the old 1.5-liter MIVEC direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder mill. However, a new plug-in hybrid model is in the works and will be available in select markets. The company did not provide any details of the electrified model.
The 2021 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will hit the Australia and New Zealand roads next month. However, deliveries for the US markets will start early next year. We did not hear anything about its launch in the UAE yet.
“From the day we started to rethink the new Eclipse Cross, we wanted to address an attitude of boosted road performance and eco-friendliness, all with a stand-out style that will take this SUV to the next level,” stated Minoru Uehara, chief product specialist of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.
