The 2021 Mazda CX-9 gets its US pricing with sales starting by the end of this month. The base Sport variant costs $33,960 (excluding $1,100 destination charge), which is just $170 more than the outgoing model.
The good news for the buyers is the bigger 10.25-inch infotainment screen, which is a standard affair throughout the range. Previously, Mazda offered two screens: a 7.0-inch display for the base model and a 9.0-inch screen for the higher grades. This display supports the new Mazda Connect infotainment software with a connected interface. The owners can observe and manage the CX-9 from any remote location. There is an in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The CX-9 Carbon Edition that sits between the Touring and Grand Touring variant is a new option for buyers sporting a Polymetal Gray paint. The mirrors and the grille are finished in gloss black. It comes with 20-inch black wheels.
The interior is adorned with red leather seats and black metallic trim for the dashboard, door panels, and handle bezels. The salient features comprise an eight-way power driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, heated second-row seats, and power-folding mirrors. The safety is ensured through reverse braking assist and driver attention alert.
The 2020 CX-9 starts at around AED 134,000 here in the UAE. We do not know the pricing for the new model yet.
