The CX-30 is a slightly bigger and more modern compact crossover than its counterpart CX-3. The automaker unveiled the 2021 Mazda CX-30 2.5L Turbo variant earlier this year and now they have revealed its pricing details. The compact crossover starts at $29,000 (excluding $1,100 destination fee).
With this pricing, Mazda also adds some premium features like chrome interior accents, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, heated front seats, a power moonroof, and a frameless auto-dimming reavers mirror. On the outside, it sports 18-inch black alloy wheels, a gloss black front grille, aluminum roof rails, LED headlights and taillights, and heated side mirrors.
Those who want to attain better styling can opt for the Premium and Premium Plus packages, the latter of which is a new offering for the crossover and is exclusive to only Turbo variants.
The CX-30 Premium costs $32,300 and comes equipped with a 12-speaker Bose sound system, leather seats, and a heated steering wheel with paddle shifters. The Premium Plus focuses more on safety and equips the crossover with Traffic Jam Assist, a 360-degree camera, an auto-dimming driver’s side mirror, and more. It is priced at $33,900.
The premium shades come with an extra price: Soul Red Crystal for $595, Machine Gray Metallic for $495, and Snowflake White Pearl Mica for $395.
Although these are very desirable features, what enthusiasts might be more interested in is the turbo engine. The turbocharged 2.5L engine pumps out 250 horsepower (186 kilowatts) and 320 pound-feet (433 Newton-meters) of torque on 93 octane fuel. Fill the vehicle with 87 octane, and you will get only 227 hp (169 kW) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque.
The 2021 Mazda CX-30 2.5L Turbo gets Mazda’s i-Activ all-wheel-drive system and a six-speed automatic transmission with sport mode.
