Volkswagen has installed the digital Innovision Cockpit in Touareg for the first time, which includes the Digital Cockpit with a 12-inch screen and the Discover Premium infotainment system with a 15-inch display, making the Touareg a pinnacle of digital interiors of the future. The Innovision Cockpit adapts to the driver’s preferences and needs through the integrated connectivity features.
A range of helpful driver assists features such as Night Vision, RoadWork Lane Assist, Front Cross Traffic Assist, all-wheel steering, roll stabilization with anti-roll bars, and a Windshield Head-up Display, make driving fun, safe and easy.
Volkswagen has added more width and length, but cut down 106 kg of weight, in this third-generation SUV of the series. The cabin space has drastically been increased, due to a change in proportions. The cargo space has been ameliorated from 697 liters to 810 liters and a cargo cover has been provided, so the cargo remains hidden at all times.
In its home market, Europe, the Touareg will be available in two V6 diesel options excreting 170 kW and 210kW of power to the four wheels. Two more engines will be offered in selective markets; a gasoline run V6 making 250kW of power and a V8 diesel with turbo capable of 310kW of output. The China market will get a special hybrid version that will make 270kW of power.
Middle East customers can make bookings for the 2018 Volkswagen Touareg in May.
